What is RedLaTIF?
La Red Latinoamericana de Teledetección e Incendios Forestales (RedLaTIF) is a regional network that aims to unite efforts in the field of observation and management of forest fires in all Latin American countries. This network is closely by the Global Observations of Forest and Land Cover Dynamics (GOFC/GOLD), which aims to contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives of this program.
Purpose of RedLaTIF
The primary goal of RedLaTIF is to achieve a better and more coordination between the Latin American community, the projects related to observation and management of forest fires using remote sensing and geospatial all these appropriate technologies.

What is GOFC/GOLD?
Global Observations of Forest and Land Cover Dynamics (GOFC/GOLD) is an integrated project within the program Global Terrestrial Observing System (GTOS), which is supported by Integrated Global Observing Strategy (IGOS). The main objective of GOFC / GOLD is to provide a forum for sharing international information, observation and coordination of data, and establish a structure for monitoring long-term systems.
